Happy New Year!

So I am at home on New Year's Eve, a for sure first for me, and have been flipping through my favorite european fashion magazines, including the one and only, French Vogue. While looking at the pages I got excited about Spring 2013 and all of the beautiful new merchandise that will be coming in, and the Resort that already has!! Above are a few looks that are coming straight from the Spring 2013 runways!! Happy 2013!!

Ode to Natalie #2

Today is Natalie Smith's going away party...we will miss her, and her obsession with her cat Bobo. Although her time here was short, she made an immesurable impression on all of us in Couture...her sweet smile and laugh are contagious. The only good thing about her leaving, is that Nat can go back to being the one and only...no more confusing phone calls. So, a big thank you to Natalie #2's amazing fiance for stealing her away to California, but her replacement has some VERY big shoes to fill...good luck with that.

Wednesday wind down...

At the end of my day, not to mention day before my day off, we received lots of Cucinelli and we had to get it out and ready to be sold!! Cucinelli is one of my personal faves because it is casual, but luxe and I absolutely love my reps. I dare you to pull of those nude patent boots... Only the most fierce can!!

Feast or famine...

This time of year, resort merchandise is trickling in...and one of the most entertaining parts of our job is watching all the sales ladies pull what they think their customers will want, as soon as Chloe and I bring the clothes into the store!! It can get aggressive, and sometimes downright crazy, but we love these ladies and they are the best at what they do.

This is our favorite time of the year, and it doesn't just come once, it comes whenever our buyers come back from market. It's no trip to NYC, but we still get a sneak preview of what's coming for pre-fall, even before the magazines!! And to top it all off...we get to help decide what to buy...merry Christmas to us :)

Out with the old, in with the new...

This time of year is a funny one for retail... We have some great pieces from fall on sale while we are also getting new resort styles in everyday!! To say that we have lots of great clothes is an understatment!! We did a floor move this morning and I think the new clothes make the floor look fresh while the sale signs make it very tempting!! I would say it's time to get in here and shop ladies, and gents!!!
